This tour takes us to the old colonial town where we will travel to a time in which people used to meet around plazas and walked through narrow streets.
We will start it in the morning picking you up from your hotel before continuing to the Old town (Colonial part of Quito).
We will admire the colonial architecture of old Quito and its churches. We will walk around Plaza Grande (Independence square), the Jesuit church “La Compañia, The oldest neighborhood of old Quito “La Ronda” and Plaza San Francisco and its Church.
Next we move to the Equator line, the Middle of the World. But before arriving we will stop in one of the restaurants to try a traditional Ecuadorian lunch. The equator line monument is located at 30 – 45 minutes north of Quito. This monument was built in honor of the French Geodesic Mission who arrived in Ecuador in 1736 to measure the meridians and prove the exact shape of the earth. We will continue to the Inti Ñan museum (Path of the Sun), close by the monument, where you will have the opportunity to take part in diverse experiments that allow you to verify that you are in fact at Latitude 0°00’00’’.
A stop at the Panecillo or Ichimbia Park is also included. These are some of the natural view-points of the city.

We will also have a chocolate experience in Quito visiting one of the best chocolate brands and we will be able to learn how to sample one of the best dark chocolate in the world, or the second option, we will have the chance to do our own chocolate truffles with Ecuadorian ingredients.
